Guillem Trius – Africa in the viewfinder (and in the heart)

Guillem Trius has been traveling to the African continent for years with his camera to document from political and social changes to ancestral traditions. Gambia, Ethiopia, Niger or Senegal are some of the countries to which this photojournalist has traveled repeatedly seduced by culture and people.

A freelance pure-bred photographer and collaborator with agencies such as OAK stories, Ethiopia is the setting where Trius is pursuing an ambitious long-term personal work dedicated to exploring the close bond of its inhabitants with religion and faith. A document where the black and white is imposed and in which the photos taken with the 35mm f1.4 of the Art range predominate.

Precisely the luminosity and quality offered by this objective -impressable for photoreporting- and the 24mm f1.4 Art are key factors for Trius, which usually shoots close to the action and in many cases in low light environments.
